I've been a lifelong maker of various things stitched, sewn, embellished and embroidered. Since retirement, I studied Textiles, Illustration and Design for 2 years. Consequently my interests have broadened to include felting, free motion sewing, weaving, spinning. I'm no loom weaver, however I incorporate aspects of weaving in my Mixed Media Art work and recently became interested in basket weaving which lets me apply a rustic character to the garden waste that seasonally gets thrown away. I paint in water colour and acrylics. I love to make paper, paper mache, work with wire and used found items to repurpose, reuse or upcycle. Sadly I have been the Rabbit in Alice in Wonderland running about with ' no time, no time', this year 2023, I decided to dedicate one month to a task that I enjoy to get a round everything. I have made several of Ann Woods little creations and look forward to seeing what the creativebug has for me each month.
